This week's free file is something that I've been waiting for a long time now. The Macintosh has been offering this little feature for years now. Typical!

It's called iColorFolder and it's quite useful in my opinion. With iColorFolder, you can finally give some color to WindowsXP folders. With just a right-click you have the ability to colorize your folders and discover a new intuitive way to classify your files. A quick view is now enough to identify the folder you are looking for!

Free Software - QT Movie Note Taker

Dear visitor/customer;

This week's free file is one that I like a lot. It allows you to add quick notes while you're watching videos or podcasts without using another application on the side.

QT Movie Note Taker allows a user to make notes without having to jump from application to application. As long as the video is playable in Quicktime you can use QT Movie NoteTaker.

This is a free, easy-to-use program from DVcreators.net that simplifies the process of taking movie notes. This application lets you load a Quicktime movie, then click a button to stop the movie, enters the movie time into your notes automatically, then waits for you to write a brief or lengthy comment.

You can load a series of movies and each movie will automatically have a header with the movie name, length, and a place to write overall comments. When you’re finished, click a button to save your notes as a text file, or another button to email your notes to someone.

Free Software - SmartFTP

Dear customer/visitor;

This week's free software is a useful little tool for anyone involved with the web industry. It's called SmartFTP, and it's free of course!

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol" and is a standard in the web industry. If you transfer files to and from a server, chances are, you're using an FTP program. There are plenty of FTP programs available on the market and this one is quite reliable. It's got a user friendly interface and is worth checking out.

Free Software - MonoCalendar

This is the first post in a new series called Free Software. Every Monday, we will discuss and post links to useful software for your Mac or PC... and YES! It's all free!

Our first free software of the week is MonoCalendar.

MonoCalendar is an application designed for easy management of calendars. The idea is to try to make a program similar to iCal, which works in other platforms besides the Mac.
