February Product Updates: Justification Window, Confirmation Window, Alert Management

We're excited to share our February product update!

This month we've focused on enhancing workflow efficiency, audit capabilities, and expanding our coverage to better support your AML operations.

These improvements address key challenges our customers face: maintaining comprehensive documentation, reducing repetitive work, and ensuring consistent risk assessments.

Key Updates

1. Added Justification Window

When an analyst or investigator determines if a potential match is true or false, we've added a modal with checkbox options and a comment field.

This enhancement supports consistent reporting and audit history, making it easier to track reasoning over time and supports QA activities. By standardizing how decisions are documented, your team can maintain consistent records while enabling more effective quality control.

2. Added Confirmation Window

When an analyst or investigator wants to update a profile status based on their review, a confirmation window now appears with a spot for comments.

This serves as a safeguard against mistaken status changes which could impact customer integrations. It also enforces commenting for reporting, audit history, and QA processes, ensuring that all status changes are intentional and properly documented.

3. Intelligent Alert Management

Intelligent Alert Management is a new capability that reduces redundant alerts by checking for material change before re-alerting. Once an alert is actioned, it will no longer re-alert unless there is a material change to biographical or risk information.

This dramatically reduces the amount of repetitive work for your AML team. All monitoring activities are still recorded as part of the audit log, and screening results can be reviewed as part of screening history.

4. Added RCMP News as Adverse Media Source

The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) news and press release website has been added as an adverse media source.

Federal Canadian agency information will now be included as part of adverse media searches, providing additional coverage of relevant Canadian information. This addition enhances your ability to identify potential risks related to Canadian entities and individuals.

5. Added Ongoing Monitoring Status to Webhooks

We've added the ongoing monitoring status for profiles into the webhook response. When a profile's ongoing monitoring status is changed, it will automatically send this information to consumers of the webhook.

This allows customers to keep internal systems in sync with Minerva systems, including whether or not a profile is enrolled in ongoing monitoring.

6. Added New High Risk Industry Terms

We've updated our high risk industry terms list to include additional variations of holding companies, not-for-profits, magic mushroom dealers, and other psychedelic businesses.

These additions increase accuracy when identifying holding companies and non-profits, while providing additional coverage for emerging high-risk industries. This helps ensure your risk assessment remains current with the evolving regulatory and risk landscapes.
